MUBC Constitution

Melbourne University Boat Club Constitution as amended in 2013 and in accordance with the Associations Incorporation Reform Act (Vic) 2012.

Club and Club Member Codes of Behaviour

Melbourne University Sport (MU Sport) has issued Codes of Behaviour for all affiliated clubs and club members. These behaviours should apply when playing, training or taking part in club-sanctioned activities. 

Privacy & Information Security Policy

MUBC collects information that is necessary in the operation of the Club's programs. The Club handles information collected from members in accordance with the University of Melbourne Information Security Policy, the University of Melbourne Privacy Policy, the Information Privacy Act 2000 (Vic) and the Health Records Act 2001 (Vic).

MUBC Membership

MUBC Membership and Affiliations Policy outlines membership types. Fees can be viewed on the web Membership Fees page. Membership is paid annually in advance or by monthly instalments. No refunds are available. In the most exceptional circumstances a partial refund may be made by special dispensation of the Treasurer. Please contact the treasurer on email treasurer@mubc.asn.au. Members participating in rowing activities are required to accorded with the International, National, Victorian and club Membership Declaration and Participation Agreement.

MUBC strives to give all members a satisfactory rowing experience however champions its elite performers and high achievers. Coaching and support services are deliberately biased to these groups aspiring to represent Melbourne University, Victoria and Australia.

Equipment Handbook (includes Use of Facilities by U18)

MUBC boat shed facility and the equipment within are to be respected and handled with care. Key equipment can only be used with permission from appointed coaching staff. The MUBC Equipment Handbook covers

Incident Reporting

All members row under the MUBC Safety Management Plan which has been prepared in accordance with Rowing Victoria requirements including Incident Reporting. All incidents must be reported to Rowing Victoria Report an Incident and MUBC (email: admin@mubc.asn.au) on the Incident Reporting Form provided.

MU/MUS Club Critical Incident Procedure

University of Melbourne and Melbourne University Sport require all associated clubs to follow the Club Critical Incident Procedure.

Regatta Levy Policy

MUBC occurs expenses in providing trailer services for members attending regattas. The Regatta Levy Policy sets out an explanation of principles and provides trailer costs adopted for 2017-2018 season.

Boat Naming Policy

MUBC considers the naming of boats to be of high significance honouring past and present members and club achievements. The Boat Naming Policy can be viewed.

Honorary Life Member Policy

MUBC celebrates it's members who have provided Exemplary and extraordinary service to the club. The Honorary Life Member Policy can be viewed.

Visitor Policy

Experienced rowers visiting Melbourne are welcome to contact MUBC for a row on the River Yarra. Our Visitor Rower Policy and Procedure can be viewed.

Anti Doping Policy and the RA Illicit Drugs In Sport Policy

MUBC adopts and fully supports the Rowing Australia Anti Doping Policy and Rowing Australia illicit Drugs in Sport Policy

Shipping Policy

Most orders are shipped within 3 business days. All orders are shipped Australia post or comparable carrier. Processing time of your order can vary from 3-14 days depending on product availability, or in some cases up to 4-6 weeks. Orders shipped by ground service average 4-10 business days from date of order to reach their destination. Additional charges may apply depending on weight. We will notify you of any additional charges before shipping. When calculating actual ship date, please do not count Saturdays, Sundays or public holidays. Please include a complete street address for all orders. If ordering internationally, any taxes, customs, or related fees will be your responsibility at the time of receipt.

Refund Policy

Physical Goods

No return requests considered after 30 days from purchase date. To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase. Please contact the Club by emailing admin@mubc.asn.au for an authority to return. Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error may not be returned.

To return your product, you should mail your product to: Boatshed 1 Boathouse Drive Melbourne Victoria 3004. You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, or other method as agreed.
