MUBC has a long tradition of developing athletes of the highest standard, capable of competing at the highest level and with the determination to create their own history.

HIGH PERFORMANCE ROWING

Our High Performance Rowing program is the penultimate rowing training experience at MUBC. This program is led by Olympic Silver medallist and Australian Representative Coach Matt Ryan and participation is by assessment. The High Performance Rowing program is supported by the Victorian Institute of Sport (VIS) and Rowing Victoria/Rowing Australia and engages with athletes participating in the Victorian Pathways Program. The ultimate aim of this program is to develop and advance athletes to gain selection for entry to the Australian National Training Centres in Penrith and Canberra.

Our High Performance Rowing program also supports eligible younger athletes preparing for International University Rowing programs and guest athletes from interstate and overseas when training away from home base.

How do I become involved?

To register your interest in this program please complete the attached Performance Rowing EOI  form and our New Athlete co-ordinator will contact you to arrange an appointment. If you require additional information please reach out to dan.wallace@unimelb.edu.au 

What is the cost?

A High Performance Rowing program membership has an annual fee of $885 or a monthly instalment plan of $78.50 per month. This fee includes Club Membership, all coaching and high-performance equipment plus the Rowing Victoria Competition registration fee. Seat fees and Regatta charges are not included. A six month membership is available ($460)

  • Use of Change facilities, kitchenette, student lounge and study room
  • Full use of gym equipment, ergo and stationery bikes
  • "Out of Session" access to club boats via Boat Booking system.
